UAE Job Seeker Visa: 60, 90 or 120 Days Explained (2026)
The UAE job seeker visa lets you enter without a sponsor to look for work. Learn who qualifies, the 60/90/120-day options, estimated fees and documents needed.
Looking for a job in the UAE is easier when you can be here in person. You can attend interviews, meet recruiters and network face to face. The UAE job seeker visa is designed for exactly this. It lets eligible people enter the country to search for work, without needing a sponsor or host.
This guide explains who can apply, the duration options, estimated fees, and how to make the most of your time.
What is the job seeker visa?
The job seeker visa is a single-entry visit visa for people who want to explore job opportunities in the UAE. Its main features are:
- No UAE sponsor, employer or host is needed
- Single entry
- Three duration options: 60, 90 or 120 days
- A financial guarantee is usually required
Once you find a job, your new employer can usually sponsor your employment residence visa. In many cases this can be done through a change of status inside the UAE. We confirm the current route for your case.
Who is eligible?
Eligibility is set by the authorities and can change. Based on official sources, the visa is generally open to:
- People classified in MOHRE skill levels 1, 2 or 3, which usually covers managers, professionals, technicians and other skilled roles
- Recent graduates (usually within the last 2 years) of the world's top 500 universities
Your education and work history matter. Your degree may need to be attested so the authorities can confirm your skill level. We check your profile and confirm whether you are likely to qualify before you apply.
Duration options and estimated fees
You can choose how long you need. The estimated GDRFA fees are:
- 60 days: about AED 200 + 5% VAT
- 90 days: about AED 300 + 5% VAT
- 120 days: about AED 400 + 5% VAT
These are estimates only. Government fees can change, and other charges may apply, such as the financial guarantee, insurance or processing charges set by the authority. Our service fee is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay.
Which duration should you choose?
- 60 days suits people with interviews already lined up, or in fields where hiring is fast.
- 90 days gives a more comfortable window for most professionals.
- 120 days suits senior roles, niche fields, or anyone who wants time to compare offers.
Think about your budget for rent and living costs too. A longer visa only helps if you can support yourself for the full period.
Documents you will usually need
- A passport valid for at least 6 months
- A recent passport-size photo with a white background
- Your degree or education certificates, often attested
- A CV showing your experience and skill level
- Proof that you can pay the financial guarantee
- Health insurance, if required for your case
If you are a recent graduate, proof of graduation date and university will also be needed.
How the process works
- Profile check. We review your passport, education and experience against the current eligibility rules.
- Choose your duration. Pick 60, 90 or 120 days based on your plans.
- Application. The application is submitted online with your documents.
- Approval. If approved by the authorities, you receive your entry permit by email.
- Travel. You enter the UAE and start your job search.
Making the most of your stay
A job seeker visa is a window, not a guarantee of a job. Plan ahead:
- Update your CV for the UAE market before you land.
- Apply to roles online in the weeks before you travel.
- Keep your phone number and email ready for quick replies.
- Attend industry events and meet recruiters in person.
- Keep track of your visa expiry date. Overstaying leads to fines.
What happens when you find a job?
When an employer offers you a role, they will usually start your work permit and residence visa. Depending on the current rules, you may be able to change status inside the UAE instead of leaving. If your visa is close to expiry, speak to us early so we can explain your options.
